Band Director.Symphony Band/Jazz Band/Music Appreciation
Ericka Gaffney is the new band director at Benzie Central Schools. She graduated from Central Michigan University with her Bachelor’s Degree, in Instrumental Music, in December 2015. Her main instrument is the saxophone, and spent the majority of her time at school performing with multiple ensembles, CMU Wind Symphony, Marching Chippewas, CMU Saxophone Ensemble, and her quartet The Revelations Quartet.
Outside of music, Ericka likes to spend time outdoors with her dog, Riley. Hiking, swimming, skiing, and camping are some of her top activities outside of the house. She also tries to stay in the softball game by playing with community co-ed leagues during the summer.
