Academic All State Awards

We are incredibly proud to recognize two of our exceptional student-athletes, Hannah Bott and Moraya Mosher for their outstanding achievements in the classroom!

Their dedication and hard work have resulted in being awarded the Academic All State Award. 

This award is given to seniors who have achieved a grade point average of 3.70 throughout their high school career while playing volleyball.

This honor highlights their commitment to excellence both on the court and in their studies. Juggling the rigorous demands of competitive volleyball with a demanding academic schedule requires immense discipline, sacrifice, and focus.Hannah and Mo, thank you for being leaders in the classroom and on the court.

VEX V5 Robotics Competition PUSH BACK

More than 50 VEX V5 Robotics Competition students and mentors from around Northern Michigan will unite at Benzie Central High School on November 22nd for the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back tournament, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation. 

The action-packed event will feature more than a dozen teams who will collaborate with other schools in a series of back-to-back robot challenges, made possible by the following sponsors: Rhoades Engineering, Rains’ Grains & Sweets, and Honor Building Supply. 

Participants strive to succeed by strategically executing the game VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back, with robots they designed, built, and programmed using VEX V5.

VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back is one in a series of events taking place throughout the year.

VEX Competitions represent the world’s largest and fastest-growing competitive robotics programs for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and colleges. There are more than 55,000 VEX teams from 125 countries that participate in over 3,613 events worldwide. 

The competition season culminates each spring with the VEX Robotics World Championship, a highly anticipated event that unites top qualifying teams from local, state, regional, and international VEX V5 Robotics Competition events who strive to secure the title of World Champions.

Career Tech. Center Visit

Our Junior boys helped to facilitate the 8th grade visit. 

Our students had the opportunity to visit classes in Power Tools, Agricultural Science, and Health Science.  

Lions Club Peace Poster Contest Winner - 8th Grader, Emilia Gee

Congratulations to our very own 8th grade stand out, Ms. Emilia Gee.

Emilia created the winning Peace Poster design for the annual Lions Club Peace Poster contest. 

The theme for this year's poster is Together as One! Emilia won the local poster contest sponsored by our very own Lake Ann Lions Club.

 Her design will now be included in the District-level competition.

 The Lions Club has over 1.4 million members internationally and plays such an active role in helping and doing so much for the people in our community.

 A big thank you to our Lions Club and Congratulations Emilia!

Fine & Performing Arts Our award-winning band, choir, theatre, and visual arts programs are indicative of not only our excellent facilities (including one of the finest auditorium spaces in the region), but of our commitment to these critical programs.
Post Graduate & Career Planning Our dedicated teachers and counseling staff help each of our students plan for success beyond high school. All students engage in career and college planning through an individualized process designed to help our students be successful in whatever path they choose.
Technology All schools are well-connected and equipped to promote incorporation of technology into the lives of our students. Each building has a robust wireless network and newer devices for use in and out of the classroom.
