Hi! I’m Katie Johnston, this is the beginning of my sixth year with Benzie Central Schools. I am very excited to be taking on a new role within our district. Now, I am the Director of Early Childhood & Summer Programming at Lake Ann Elementary. I will continue in my role as Preschool Special Education Teacher. Additionally, I get the unique opportunity to teach an Early Childhood Pathways course to Benzie high school students this year. So exciting!

I have a bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Ferris State University. I also hold my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Northern Michigan University.

In my free time, you can find me cheering on my nephew & other Huskies at football games and wrestling meets, enjoying a good book, or bowling!
