~Bond and Sinking Fund Projects and Updates~

We are extremely grateful to our community for their generous support with our 2020 Bond Projects and the Sinking Fund support from 2017-2026.  Here is a link to see all of the projects completed and those set to be completed this summer.

The current sinking fund will expire at the end of 2026 unless a new request is made.  In 2017, Sinking Funds were not allowed for purchasing buses.

Sinking Fund rules have changed and these would now be an allowable use of funds. If you have any questions about the projects completed or planned for this summer or you would like to know more about Sinking Funds, please contact Superintendent Erfourth at 231-882-9653 or email at [email protected].

Benzie County Central Schools is pleased to introduce Mr. Nicholas Batchelor

Benzie County Central Schools is pleased to introduce Mr. Nicholas Batchelor. “Nick”

Nick has been newly appointed to our Facilities and Maintenance and Grounds position and just completed his first week with our Husky family.

Fun fact: Nick is a graduate of the 2012 class from Benzie Central High School, and has two children, one of which is a student here at Benzie Central.

He is also the proud owner of a black lab.

He comes to us with an extensive and impressive background in groundskeeping, heavy equipment, and snow removal.

Nick is an outdoorsman and that’s where you will find him in his free time.

During the summer, he enjoys camping and biking and in the winter months he seeks snowsports.

Just spending time with his family in general.

Nick shared that he is looking forward to being at school everyday and meeting new faces.

He is dedicated to keeping our facilities and grounds and fields looking their best for all to enjoy. If you see this guy around, along with his infectious smile, introduce yourself.

Let’s not only give Nick a warm welcome, but promise to do OUR part in keeping our facilities and grounds in tip-top condition along with him.

I live by this rule always: Leave everything you do, and everywhere you go, better than what/how you found it.

It’s that simple.

Welcome Nick. We promise to do our part.

 Go Huskies!
