Benzie Central High School Hiking Club - September 2026

This weekend students from Benzie Central High School, accompanied by Mr. Stewart, Mr. Jarnot, Ms. Johnston, Ms. Abbie Smith, Mr. Kelly, and Mrs. Campana, traveled to the U.P. for a hiking trip at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore organized by the Benzie Central Hiking Club.

After making the journey up on Saturday, the group set out early to hike the 10.5-mile Chapel Loop on Sunday. The fall colors were out in force, the skies were clear, and the temperatures were perfect for a beautiful early autumn hike!

The Benzie Central Hiking Club hosts monthly hikes throughout the school year, open to Benzie Central students in grades 9-12. The Hiking Club would like to thank its sponsors, Crystal Mountain and Cherry Republic, for their generous support of the club. Stay tuned for information about October's hike!

tudent Hikers: Parker Pritchett, Carson Decker, Ryan Davidson, Quincy Bruce, Eli Jenkins, Robbie Burrus, Emberlee Pruyne, Nora Rose, Niall Allen, Lucas Lint, William Campana, Dayr Hebel, Taylen Hebel, Eli VanPoortfliet, and Arthur Lopes.

- Mr. Bo Stewart

——

Please take a moment to send some love to Mr. Bo Stewart for being the driving force behind this newly formed Hiking Club. He has been an excellent addition to our high school, and has offered our students some wonderful opportunities and life experiences.

We are lucky to have you, Bo!

Thank you!

-Mrs. Catina Crossman
