Our middle school soccer team was victorious this past week.

Benzie Central Cross Country
The Huskies showed up this morning in Buckley. Although the temps rose quite rapidly as the morning progressed, nothing phased them!
Both teams took home runner-up hardware to strong TC St Francis squads.
We had 6 HS girls and 4 boys medal.
The squad ran to 6 lifetime PRs and 2 season bests. On the MS side we had three girls and 2 boys medal.
This crew had 10 lifetime bests and 3 season best times.
Overall champions were Eli Vanpoortfleit and Isaiah Graetz (MS).
Medalists: Cage Edingfield, Oliver Graetz, Walter Armstrong, Avery Kelly, Maggie McClellan, Kaitlyn Kaple, Kristina Bott, Sadee Wenkel, and Sofia Tezzele.
Medalists in the ms races were: Lexie Ewing, Elizabeth Armstrong, Madilyn Kohn, and Matthew Vroman.

--MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY--
The Benzie Central Middle School Cross Country team was back in action Saturday morning at the Buckley Bear Country Invitational.
There were seventeen teams in the field and medals were awarded to the top 30 runners in each race.
The young Huskies really brought their best efforts today and Coach Locke says he's proud of the group and that the whole team ran strong.
For the boys race, Isaiah Graetz led the entire group of 84 runners for an outstanding first place finish and a PR (Personal Record).

Matthew Vroman also had a PR and finished third, which was his second straight Top 10 finish. In the girls race, the Huskies had 3 medalists.
Coming in at second place was Lexie Ewing, while Elizabeth Armstrong finished third.
Both girls had their second straight Top 3 finishes.
Madeline Kohn had a great race today with a PR and Top 25 finish, which was good for a medal!
The BCMS XC team opens up the Northwest Conference jamboree season Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PM back in Buckley. Go Huskies!
