My name is Amiee Erfourth. I am a Northern Michigan native. I grew up in Kingsley and still have many family members in the area. After graduating from Central Michigan University, I wanted to move back home to be closer to my family. BetsieValley appealed to me because of its small size and close-knit community. I served as a  first grade teacher at Betsie Valley for 14 years. In January 2014, I became the principal at Betsie Valley.  I feel very blessed to be able to work with kids to help them discover the joy of becoming life-long learners and responsible citizens.

I live in Traverse City with my husband, Dan. We have three children, Evan, Aidan, and Ava. In addition, our family also has a rambunctious dog named Rocky. As a family we enjoy taking the dog for a walk, playing at the beach, riding bikes together, and traveling to the Upper Peninsula. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, watching my kids play sports, or spending time with friends.
