Janene Gee
Kindergarten
My name is Janene Gee and I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Lake Ann Elementary. Betsie Valley has been my home for the past six years; I previously taught preschool through Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency. All of my teaching experience is within the realm of early childhood; I taught downstate in the Holland area for three years before my husband and I moved north.
My husband (Rodney) and I are originally from Muskegon but we enjoy the beauty of Northern Michigan. Rodney and I live in Bear Lake with our two children Emilia (4) and Gabriel (1 1/2). In our leisure time we enjoy going for walks to the beach, playgrounds, and visiting our neighbors. Rodney and I recently joined a bowling league in Manistee and I picked up running again (it’s a great stress reliever)!
I attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin and earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I am currently enrolled in the Masters program at Grand Valley State University with the focus of Early Childhood Special Education. Children of all walks of life are interesting to me; I enjoy seeing growth throughout the year both academic as well as maturity levels.
