I have  Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Central Michigan University with a Bacherlor’s degree from Valparaiso University.  I have taught 1^st-5^th grades.  I have been teaching at Platte River Elementary since 2010 and was at Crystal Lake Elementary before that.  My husband and I have 2 children, Molly (15) and Riley (11).  We love to vacation in Kentucky where we rock climb and I hike.  Golfing, hiking, and reading are some of my favorite activities.  I love to listen to TED Talks, Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, and This American Life.  I think Odyssey of the Mind and Project Based Learning activities are awesome!
