Title I
I am currently the First Grade teacher at Crystal Lake. Previously, I was the Title I reading and math interventionist. Prior to that, I taught 3rd grade for eight years.
Here is a little more background info about me. I was born in Saginaw and moved north in junior high, graduating from Benzie Central High School in 1996 After a year at NMC, I transferred to Northern Michigan University, completed my student teaching in the metro Detroit area, and graduated in 2000 with a BA in Elementary Education, specializing in Language Arts. After being hired by BCS in 2001, I continued my education and received my master’s degree in elementary education from Grand Valley State University in 2007.
My husband, Pete, and I have a school aged son, Patrick. When not teaching, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
