Economics/Civics
Mrs. Balazovic has been with Benzie Central since 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree from Alma College, graduating with a major in Political Science and two minors, one in History and the other in Social Studies. She went on to earn her Masters from Grand Valley State University. There she obtained a Masters in Educational Technology along with a K-12 Library Media Specialist Degree.
Mrs. Balazovic’s current teaching assignment includes economics and civics. She also coaches the eighth grade girls basketball team, serves on the NHS advisory council, is a member of the school improvement team, is the high school social studies department chair, and heads up the Close Up program which takes Benzie Central juniors to Washington D.C. for a week in the spring.
Mrs. Balazovic grew up in Elk Rapids and now lives in Lake Ann with her husband and dog.
