Elaine Titze

Third Grade

While interviewing for a position with Benzie Central, I shared that I wanted to find my “professional home” and, as a member of the Lake Ann staff, I did just that. My name is Elaine Titze and ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. It’s a job that is both rewarding and challenging. I earned my teaching certificate through Grand Valley State University and prior to teaching at Lake Ann, I also taught first, second, and fifth grade in Traverse City. I have been at Lake Ann since the fall of 2001 and have taught first, second, and third grade. The best part about teaching is the kids – their laughter is contagious and their energy is enviable! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family enjoying our beautiful area, especially Lake Michigan. I absolutely love to travel, reading is a must, and I am a big fan of board games, chocolate and spaghetti! My favorite movie is “The Wizard of Oz” and Dorothy was right- there is no place like home. I am very grateful and happy to call Lake Ann Elementary my professional home.
