Hannah Zielinski

Kindergarten

From the time Hannah was a little girl, she knew she wanted to be a teacher.

Having so many wonderful teachers herself throughout her educational path, helped her to foster the love of helping others and she just knew that teaching was the right career choice for her.

She attended Central Michigan University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. In her free time, she loves to be outside. She enjoys rock hunting, disc golfing, and going for walks with her dog, Miles.

Next summer, she will be getting married to her best friend Sean. Next school year will be the last time she will go by, “Miss Z.”

Miss Z has been in education for two years, both of them being here at Benzie County Central Schools. She currently teaches 1st grade at Betsie Valley Elementary, and wasted no time diving right into the Teach Michigan Fellowship Program.

Hannah supports her students by having compassion and empathy for each one of them. She strongly believes in helping her students develop a growth mindset. Miss Z encourages students to embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and persist in the face of setbacks.

Hannah leaves us with this, “Teaching elementary students is like planting seeds in a garden. With patience, nurturing, and a little bit of sunshine, you watch them grow into something beautiful.”
