Jeri Ruble

6th-8th Counselor

After graduating from Frankfort High School, Mrs. Ruble went to Central Michigan University and earned a bachelor of science degree in education in English and history.

She spent the first fifteen years of her career teaching seventh and eighth grade language arts at Benzie Central Middle School. In the 2007-2008 school year, she took a job at the high school level teaching language arts. She also completed a Master’s degree in K-12 school counseling through Western Michigan University in 2008. From 2011-2013, she taught language arts and history at Benzie Academy. She spent 21 wonderful years in the classrooms at Benzie County Central Schools.  She moved to South Carolina in 2013 where she spent five years teaching middle school language arts in an alternative school. In 2018, she moved to the role of school counselor, which she has loved for the past five years.

She moved to South Carolina in 2013 to marry her best friend, who she had met way back in middle school. Together, they share two beautiful daughters, who have given them three precious grandsons, and an amazing son who keeps us busy with football, school, and a great sense of humor.

Both Mrs. Ruble and her husband always knew they would eventually come back home because family is everything to them. They have both traveled all over this beautiful country, and there is no place more beautiful or friendly than Northern Michigan!  After living in the hustle and bustle of a big city, they look forward to the quiet and the beauty of nature. They are building their forever home where they hope to eventually provide equine therapy to those that are struggling with life’s obstacles.

I am so excited to be a Husky again!
