Mr. Olson is in his 12th year teaching at Benzie Central and his 13th overall. Mr. Olson is a 1998 graduate of Benzie Central High School and a 2003 graduate of Central Michigan University. He taught for a year at Traverse City East Junior High before coming to Benzie. Mr. Olson teaches 9th grade English, 11th grade English, 11th grade Honors English, AP Literature, and BCTV.
In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Olson is a senior class co-advisor, LINK Crew co-advisor, and varsity basketball coach for the last four years. He previously coached JV and Varsity football for seven years and was a registered MHSAA basketball official for 13 years.
In his free time, Mr. Olson enjoys golfing, canoeing, and basketball. Mr. Olson does not have a prep period this year, but you can email him at olsonm@benzieschools.net.
