My name is Meghan Carra and I’m excited to be joining Crystal Lake Elementary (soon to be Homestead Hills) as a 3rd grade teacher!

I’m a Traverse City native and graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelors in Social Studies and a concentration in Elementary Education. I have spent the last 9 years teaching in Orlando, Florida. I have taught both 2nd and 4th grade. During the 20-21 school year I was named Teacher of the Year for my school. I am passionate about making learning a fun and engaging experience for all students.

My family is thrilled to be returning to Northern Michigan. In my spare time I enjoy playing and adventuring with my young son, spending time with family, and reading
