Paraprofessional

Hi! My name is Melanie McLauchlan and this is my first year working at Betsie Valley Elementary.

Before this, I worked in the Health Field as a Nursing Assistant.

I have four children, three of which attend Betsie Valley Elementary, and the fourth will attend next school year.

Last year we moved here from Traverse City. I grew up East of Manistee in Irons. My Husband is from Lansing and sails Ships on the Great Lakes. We love living where we do now and spend every minute we can exploring the natural beauty of our area and love being on the water.

I am so excited to work with children in our school district and look forward to continuing my career with a focus on Child Development and Mental Health Counseling.
