Greetings, Benzie County Central Schools!

My name is Rachel Anderson and I am honored to be your principal at Lake Ann Elementary. I was born and raised in this beautiful area of northern Michigan and have resided in Lake Ann since 2005. I will have earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (with an emphasis in Language Arts) from Grand Valley State University and also my Master’s degree in K-12 Administrative Educational Leadership. I have a deep passion for nurturing a learning environment in which all people feel included, valued, respected, and safe. Authentic relationships with students and staff are the foundation of a successful educational environment. I am eager for the opportunity to work with Benzie School staff and families, while simultaneously playing a role in helping to develop the character and academic growth of our students as they evolve into contributing members of our community and our world!
