Special Education
I am the Middle School Special Education Teacher at Benzie Central. This is my 11th year of teaching at Benzie. Previously I taught at the pre-school and elementary levels at Suttons Bay Schools. Teaching marks a second career for me as I originally graduated from CMU with a degree in Resort Management. After working at some beautiful resorts in Florida, I came back to Michigan to raise a family and pursue a career in education. Along the way I was able to establish a driver education business and operate a fruit and vegetable farm. My hobbies outside of school include taking care of the menagerie of animals on our farm. I also enjoy the many outdoor activities that our area has to offer such as hiking, golfing, biking and downhill skiing. My greatest passion is to travel and experience the tastes, smells, sights and sounds of the remarkable world that we live in.
