Mrs. Roeske currently teaches math at Benzie Central Middle School. This is her sixth year at the Middle School, but she has taught at many different grade levels during her 25 years in the public schools in Michigan. Some of her teaching experiences range from a K-5 classroom downstate to a 7-12 classroom at Benzie MS/HS to a 4/5 multi-age and split here at Platte River. She’s also had some extracurricular experience coaching cheer leading, Battle of the Books, and Girls on the Run.

Mrs. Roeske is currently an empty-nester, as her daughter is entering her third year at Oakland University and her son is entering his first year at Saginaw Valley State University. She’s not sure how much she will enjoy this new chapter in her life, but she does know that she will have a lot more time to enjoy her favorite activities now that she isn’t following a crazy sports schedule! Her extra time will most likely be spent reading, caring for her numerous pets, hanging with her girlfriends, and reconnecting with her husband of 23 years. A few projects around the house might take up a little of her extra time and energy as well. And you never know – she just might find a few sporting events to attend with her trusty Nikon. The photography bug has definitely made its presence known!
