Kindergarten
Ms. Wynkoop spent her first summer in Benzie County in 1979. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2001, she found little satisfaction in the work-a-day office world. In pursuit of greater, more meaningful work, she enrolled in the College of Education at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, achieved a teaching license in 2005 and gained a classroom teaching assignment in 2006. Her endorsements include Elementary Classroom Teaching, English and Reading. Since 2012, Ms. Wynkoop has made Benzie County her happy home. Since 2013, she has been delighted to bring Benzie students opportunity, trust and belief in student success. She often reminds herself and her students, “Believe you can, or believe you cannot. Either way, you will be right.”
